Cant read some files on NTFS drives

There are a lot of files on my NTFS drives that I cant open or even copy in Leopard, I have Leopard installed on the hardware in my sig.

Has anyone experienced this? Some folders also have locks on them and I dont know why. If I try to open the files I get an I/O error, and if I try to copy them I get another I/O error and finder hangs until I relaunch it.

I have never experienced this with Tiger

Is this using macfuse and ntfs3g latest versions? Yeah i got that same problem as well, its like its a security restriction that leopard won't allow anything to be written on the Macintosh HD from a NTFS volume, yet in the NTFS Volume you can read, write (With long file name errors but still copies), and delete (manually, dragging to trash triggers that security thing)

I check out alot of forums and it seems nobody knows what it is, it could be a bug or probably a security issue with leopard sharing network data, any suggestion or tips to try out something in that part, let me know.

No, I dont fully trust those NTFS things, Im afraid its going to leave a {censored} load of "._" folders/files all over my windows drives like it does to my fat32 ipod.

Its very annoying because I cant open certain files from OS X, keeps giving me an I/O error or some other error.

I was thinking of converting my NTFS volume to HFS+ and just use Macdrive in Windows but now Macdrive messed up and cant read the Leopard drive anymore (the drive shows up in My Computer, but just says "local disk" and I cant open it). Wtf, I cant trust anything I guess. Why the hell cant MS and Apple just get along.
