Menno
I have a dual boot system with Windows Professional x64 and osx 10.4.3 (8f1111). Now I have a Nvidia Geforce 6800XT PCI-e card and the onboard graphics with GMA950. When I start osx 10.4.3 with onboard graphics enabled it wil just show up with a blue screen. THe thing is, when I remove the PCI-e card it just boots up normal. I play some games on windows and don't feel like removing the card everytime. Is there a way to fix this problem? Another question, irrelevant to this topic. I have installed OSX with the complete JaS package. I have a SSE3 compatible CPU. Does this SSE3 emulator lose performance with a real SSE3 CPU? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6853-pci-e-and-gma950/ Share on other sites
cyrana
No, 945G doesn't allow a separate PCI-e card to run at the same time. Just onboard or PCI-e, not both. The only option for a secondary GPU is a PCI card. (although you can get an ADD2-N card to do dual-output via DVI-D from the onboard). Menno
Yes well, I don't need to run them both at the same time. I can enable in the bios to use Internal VGA or PCI-e. I don't mind to change that to play a game in windows or change in back at Internal VGA only to boot up again os x. I don't know if you mean the same by seperate PCI-e.
