I have a Dell Inspiron 9300. I am able to boot off the dvd just fine and start the install. It just won't see any drives when it gets to the point where I have to tell it which partition to install on.

Anyone know what might be going on with this and how I can fix it?

I had just the same problem.

To fix this use the disk utility by selecting it from the top bar, and create partitions for OS X. But backup all necesary data before repartitioning the drive!

When you used disk utility, were all of the partitions grayed out? Mine were. I'm backing up the data now and will blow away all partitions and let OSX partition the drive. Then I'll install XP afterrwards.

I'll let you know how it goes...

UPDATE: Blowing away all the partitions and letting OSX create them fixed the problem. It's installing now. Thanks!
