wetlegs6
Hey there everybody. First time in a long time ive tried OSx86 out, last I did it was back when you had to do a lot of work to get it running, so the idea of downloading a pre-patched iso that'd just...work....rocked. Unfortunatly, like nearly everything Apple touch - despite their promises - it doesn't 'just work'. Lol. Booting in VMWare 6 or natively it does much the same thing, except native it does it in an infinite loop. It gives me repetitive "unkown SIGSEGV error code 0", and the occasional "BLABLA exited abnormally: segmentation fault". Some screens included from VMW. My machine specs: AMD Opteron 165 @ 1.8GHz (Supports SSE3) 2 x 200Gb Maxtor Sata drives 2 x 512Mb PC3200 modules ATI Radeon X1600 256Mb Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard 52x32x52 CD burner (IDE1) DVD+/- (IDE2) The image came in iso format, pre patched etc, and I just burnt it off with Nero (Although, it doesn't work in VMWare just using the ISO either). In the post where I got this from on a forum it stated "Intel CPU highly recommended", but it doesn't seem to want to work at all with my system. Cheers anyone with help! Ben. NUCLEaR
got the same error im guessing its cause of the intel compatibility only
wetlegs6
Is it Intel only? From the message I sorta assumed it meant some stuff wouldn't work (EG, last time I ran OSX dvd player wouldn't work, and iTunes was shaky as anything).
