AdiLoop Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Hi.. Is anyone having problem whit the "LAN" file sharing whit windows Vista? I’m using a G5 whit Leopard and a laptop whit Vista on it. I can see my MAC from the Vista computer but not the opposite way. And when I make a copy from the Vista computer to the MAC, I’m getting loads of lag on the MAC and often the connection gets broken on 56% when copying big files. Anyone that has the same problem? guruuno1 Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 I am having similar issues, cannot set the Workgroup, defaults back to bootcamppc as the netbios name and workgroup name (an name) won't stick. SquidCombo Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 Add the "connect to server" icon to your finder (customize toolbar and the icon is blue network orb). Click on the icon, and use smb://192.168.1.*** to connect to your windows pc. It works pretty much like on tiger. For workgroup defaulting back problem, I heard you have to create a location other than automatic. Transferring files done on windows are slower compare to transferring files done on mac somehow.
