daifuku74
My mac mini intel 1,66 won't boot on Leopard DVD whether I press C (it ejects like 10 seconds later) or click restart when it's moutned on the desktop. I tried putting my mac mini vertical, but its just the same. Also I made a copy of the original DVD (that worked for my mac pro) to a dual layer DVD-R and still the same problem. anyone had an idea?? daifuku74
Yes i see it from there, but after selecting it its rolls a few seconds and ejects. If i install in target mode maybe?but how can the DVD know if it has to install PPC or intel resources if I just point out a target drive?maybe if it sees it's GUID or not.Im gonna try target install. hope it worksit works on target mode.I think it should be written on the Leopard packaging that you have to get 2 macs to install Leopard...it works with Target mode!I think it should be written on Leopard packaging that you need 2 macs to install it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68148-mac-mini-keeps-spitting-out-leopard-dvd/#findComment-484514 Share on other sites

hemiola
I have the same model and it is spitting out ANY disk i put in it. It first began as failed DVD burns, now it is just dead - basically. Time to send it in, i guess. Rather than target mode, i simply install from a hard drive.
