2twisty
Until Apple fixes some very glaring missing features in FrontRow 2.0, as well as allow the user to control the font size, so those of us that use our macs as an HTPC onto a TV screen can actually *read* the titles from across the room... Anyway, I want to put Tiger's FrontRow (1.3.1) into Leopard. I copied the FrontRow from /System/Library/Coreservices from a Tiger machine to Leopard. FrontRow will launch, and the interface is intact. However, after a random time, I get "an error has occurred" and I have to force quit the front row app from a terminal session. I'm not sure where to go next to troubleshoot this. I'd like to get 1.3.1 running so I can actually *use* my mac as an HTPC, like Tiger was allowing me to do. eyestosky
I second this sentiment. I think that the new front row is completely unusable from >10 ft. away. Plus, when you are using your computer and a source of music and also want to use your computer it's a pain in the butt. If you start an album in Front Row then decide you want to use your computer the music stops when Front Row quits. If anyone knows how to get the old Front Row running smoothly I would very happy to hear it.
