Amazondani Posted January 13, 2006 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Hi, pleople. I have a Toshiba Satelite Pro M30 Notebook, and i'm trying to install the OS X 10.4.3 8F1111 on it. I have tried the instalation with 10.4.3 8F1099, but i go many some troubles with USB, and in my machine bios, i don't have an option to disable it. So i instaled on Vmware, on my sister's pc, and made an image of the instalation, and restored to my notebook. I don't get a kernel panic, but i get stuck in : "BSD root: disk0s2 , major 14, minor 1" I don't see any disk utilization after it, and my cooler get's spining all the time. i atached some pics... Specs: NOTEBOOK: Pentium M Banias 1.5 (705) No NC, Broken PAE Chipset; i855PM 256 ram 40 G of HD Sister's PC: Celeron D, 2.6 Ghz, No NX, PAE Enabled, SSE3 512 of ran Chipset VIA OBS: I Instaled on VMware, and used Simantec drive Image, do make the copy, and the restore... And, what about a native install on my notebook, did 8F1111 eliminated the problems with USB?( i Instaled 10.4.1, and every thing worked, even Fire wire, and ACPI, jut not the Gforce video) do there is Any way to prevent the USB to load on the install boot?? I didn't tried yet to do a native 1111 boot, but i don't , and i can't waste media(dvd's) PLEASE HELP ME!!! Amazondani Posted January 13, 2006 Author Share Posted January 13, 2006 (edited) Ok, i could get further, i redid the process of coping the image over the partition, and now a get the menssage after bsd root: jnl: replay_journal: from: 7243776 to: 2459648 (joffset 0x52000) What that means? Amazondani Posted January 14, 2006 Author Share Posted January 14, 2006 I redid the process(aplying the image i did in my sister's desktop, on my notebook), with a new empty partion, Type AF: Now i get VGA: family specific fails However, i can boot in single mode, but with no keyboard. I tried to install trought DVD too, but i get waiing for root device. aplying platform=X86PC/ACPI and rd=disk0s2 I stop on BSD root: major 14, minor 5 Anyone have any clues??
