I was wondering if this is possible at all... I couldn't get the install disk to detect a partition i made so i am going to try to make a virtual disk and install it on that and then DD the virtual disk to the partition i made.

would this work?

it's how i got it to boot the very first time on an old PC but it was with an old version.

this is the 10.4.8 jas disk

Yes, but if your hardware is not supported it still won't boot.

Kalyway boots on the machine I tried this on last year, so now I have a native install again. Macdotnub should but I haven't tried it.
