BJMoose
I have a commitment to AMS Venus external hard drive enclosures for all of my computers (Apple and PC) because they allow me to very easily swap out drive housings and use them interchangeably among systems. I've been thinking about ordering 3 of the new 24" iMacs for my studio. AMS Venus now has a 2 drive firewire 400 external enclosure whose drive housings are compatible with my other enclosures. The iMacs only have a single firewire 400 port. Is there any problem using a powered firewire multi-port hub, connected to the single firewire port on the iMac so I can address both drives in the enclosure? Is there a particular brand name that anyone might suggest? Are there any problems I should be aware of when connecting two drives through one firewire port? Thanks. Headrush69
Can't speak for the Firewire hub, but daisy chaining two Firewire drives works so I doubt the two drives itself is a problem.
