Hi. I have three drives, eveything's partitioned to GUID with 1 partition. I tried to sort of hack the Kalway OSX86 9a527 Leopard installation burned on a DVD-RW which won't take me to the installer itself. I thought maybe it's because I'm not using a SATA DVD disk drive but rather an IDE one. I experimented by trying to make drive 2 as the DVD installer. First by converting the Kalway DVD to DMG (using Alcohol 120 then ISOBuster for Windows then Conversio for OS X), I then booted on my Uphuck 10.4.9 Installer and mounted the dmg. Then I restored the Kalway dmg to drive 2 SATA.

I thought the Kalway Leopard installer would boot on drive 2 and trick the computer to think that it's a DVD installer but it didn't boot exchanging the different purple and orange ports, as well as playing with the SATA Port0-3 Native Mode. I also restored the Kalway dmg on the drive 1 and drive 3 (IDE)thinking that it might work with the other drives. I've tried different kernels and the last working install configuration I made. It does install but now I can't make Uphuck 10.4.9 boot to the desktop like before. It's might not be a DVD damage, coz' don't skip the checking if the installation file are good. It's not the memory (turned it off) or the DVD drive itself (coz' I can install Vista).

But when I install Jas 10.4.8 it's all good and even with the Jas 10.4.9 update it boots.

I'm thinking the boot files of the Kalway leopard dmg is stored somewhere in the hardisk that no partition or erase using OS X's Disk Utility nor Vista or XP, partition eraser can access this Leopard installer boot file. And whenever Uphuck 10.4.9 is installed, since this Leopard won't boot, it somehow must have mixed with Uphuck's files thinking it's still the Leopard. I've even tried the zero erase on Disk Utility.

Is there a very strong eraser of any kind of partition that will erase every nook and cranny of a hardrive and no part of the drive will be spared. Leopard's boot files must be erased from the drive. Thanks in advance. Recommendations are welcome.

I'm now using Jas 10.4.8 which was upgraded to Jas 10.4.9. It's the same version but Jas's can't see other computers on the network which Uphuck 10.4.9 could. I need to transfer a very big file to and from the other computer conveniently using a router. I'm downloading Uphuck 10.4.9 just in case it's the DVD that's damaged. Thanks in advance.
