this topic is a never ending one coz everyone will have their own views on this topic nylock. i think when everyones buying their pc.. they think its perfect for what tasks they have in mind for it .. so ull have alot of answers 2 your question! bottom line accoring to me, weather it be Custom Builds or REAL Mac's. first thing is 2 just look @ what your going 2 do with with ur pc.. and then build it accordingly... and as long as YOU are happy when using your PC ... then thats all that matters ! ;)

Hi Nylock and Toxic:

I'm fairly happy with my PC that I purchased and custom-built about 1 1/2 years ago. I got the most important features (Graphics, Sound, Networking, Wireless) working out-of-the-box without any modifications.

The secret was this...

I built my box based on specs from OSx86 Project's Hardware Wiki (!) This shows the power of the OSx86's community and collaboration. ;)

It's not the "perfect" setup, but it works great for me!

I got a bunch of stuff off NewEgg, TigerDirect, and ebay. The TV card only works on Windows and I still need to get the Airport going. Graphics card works with NV40 and Ethernet works with http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...&pid=438746 (RTGMac_v1.1.6.zip) USB for sound.
