dotpage
I'd sure like to see 10.4.4 running on my Thinkpad R40 P4-M 1.8 w/full Safari, Flash, java, etc.. Any signs of it? jfman
Yeah, they are shipping it in the new imacs. We have to wait until someone gets theirs, and (possibly) leaks it to everyone else who can get to work on it. I wouldn't hold my breath though, however if someone could bring the 10.4.4 ATI driver to 10.4.3 I'd be chuffed. Templeton Peck
The new Macs use EFI instead of a BIOS. Hypothetically, this can be circumvented, but it could take a while. Also, Apple filed a patent for "tamper resistant code," which could make 10.4.4 a tougher nut to crack. But I have a lot of faith in Maxxuss. In the meantime, developers should be getting concurrent "BIOS" seeds of OS X, unless Apple terminated the program early.
