SpeedfreaK
I downloaded 'Cider app' (33 mb) and followed the instructions to make need for speed carbon work. I can play it very nice, but i can't change the resolution (ingame i can only choose bewteen 640x... 800x600 abd 1024x768) And i have a 24" imac so, there are 2 hugh black stripes on the sides of the screen. How can i change my resolution to 1920x1200 ? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67146-resolution-problems-with-cider/ Share on other sites
itshelloween
EA Games only supports 4:3 resolutions so if you want widescreen resolutions you have to use NFSCRes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67146-resolution-problems-with-cider/#findComment-476520 Share on other sites
SpeedfreaK
that's for windows and i tried universal widescreen patcher too and that doesnt work either Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/67146-resolution-problems-with-cider/#findComment-483133 Share on other sites
itshelloween
I used universal widescreen patcher to patch my NFSC to get 1440x900 and it worked, did you select 640x480 in game? With universal widescreen patcher I think you have to rename NFSC.exe to speed2.exe and then change it back when done. SpeedfreaK
yes, i can make universal widescreen patcher work under crossover, but i can't load the second file that is needed to run universal widescreen patcher (i forgot the name of that file) and when i copy NFSC.exe (and rename it to speed2.exe) and the universal widescreen patcher to a memory stick and put it in my dell, i can find speed2.exe but, i can't insert a resolution and i can't patch the file. can you send me your patched speed2.exe?
