I have an external firewire drive that has Tiger on it and is, obviously, my Tiger boot drive. The Leopard install went fine (i am loving this OS), but my firewire drive isn't listed under Devices in Finder. Any ideas why? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bradd Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 I had this issue recently and found out that my firewire partition's catalog needed to be rebuilt. Here's what you can do (assuming you own DiskWarrior): 1. Open Disk Utility and see if the firewire drive shows up with the partition greyed-out 2. If the partition is available, simply select it and press the "Mount" button the tool bar 3. Failing that, load up DiskWarrior and have it check that volume 4. A catalog error will probably be found; go ahead and fix the error 5. Overwrite the original catalog when prompted 6. Run Disk Utility's "Verify Disk" and "Repair Disk" Good luck!
