I just got the new jas update that contains the .iso file, It loads and asks me to press any key to load osx, I press a key and it starts loading, until it gets to

Kernel Version:

Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1: semthex:/nebkadnezar/Build/obj/Release1386

and then it freezes up completely. There is no Operating System on the computer, it is a fresh new setup, new unused everything does there have to be windows installed on the machine?

If you don't know what the problem might be, can anyone please tell me the most reliable install image? Not to put anyone on the spot, I know there are many people who use all of them, but which one will work the best with an intel mb?

Intel d865wh Mb

1.86 "conroe" Intel Core 2 Duo

1gb ram

SATA 160gb Western Digital HD

SATA Samsung DVD Burner

(Nothing else installed ie. PCI ete.)

Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1: semthex:/nebkadnezar/Build/obj/Release1386

Ok I took care of the first problem, it was a kernel panic that had to do with the ACPI, I diabled some of the power saving options like resume boot and it didn't give me this message. Instead now it won't recognize the hard drive. Before it was and now its not, this install is really screwy. And its saying that the ACPI state is s3, isnt that sleep mode?

Normal booting by just pressing enter.

ACPI: system state [s0 s3 s4 s5] (s3)

Security auditing service present

BSM Auditing Present

disabled

From path: "uuid"

Waiting for boot volume with UUID 3F2E02BC-6827-39b49bd0-a10706806a8f

Waiting on <dict ID="0" <key> IOproviderclass </key> <string id ="1"> IOresources </string><key>IOresourcematch</key><string ID="2"> boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

The ACPI thing is normal. The error lies in:

Waiting on <dict ID="0" <key> IOproviderclass </key> <string id ="1"> IOresources </string><key>IOresourcematch</key><string ID="2"> boot-uuid-media</string></dict>

This is normally a fix for the Still waiting for root device error but try switching your SATA controller into AHCI mode. This can be done through BIOS.
