xx66stangxx
ok so I have photoshop and illustrator on my computer are there any other good design programs for macs, my purpose is for my clothing company, that's mainly why I am using the software, I won't like my clothing website but I make designs similar to Hurley, and other so-cal based brands. Thanks, Danny Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66825-what-design-programs-to-use/ Share on other sites
Guest lord of the view
Illustrator would be the best bet. You'll also need a program that can translate the images to a silk screen machine. I use Illustrator for vectors. Photoshop for image manipulation. InDesign for layout and Notepad for coding. xx66stangxx
thanks!, well I actually just give the illustrator/photoshop file to a company and they do all that for me, but thanks again. I will check out InDesign for my layout for my webpage, I am currently in the middle of changing my website, and I use dreamweaver for my coding and sometimes notepad for quick changes Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66825-what-design-programs-to-use/#findComment-474813 Share on other sites
Guest lord of the view
InDesign is for print layout, not web layout. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66825-what-design-programs-to-use/#findComment-474851 Share on other sites

Guest lord of the view
Well, there are actually people that use InDesign for web layout. I just don't get it. It's not like browsers can read *.indd files. vectran
Ah... You can slice up InDesign files I believe, I just use Photoshop and Coda (www.panic.com).
