m0n0lith
I just installed Kalyway's OS X 10.4.10 DVD on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 rig, I patched the disc and everything with the proper patch and it installed fine, but when I try to boot it for the first time, it makes it to the apple logo but it just sits there with the grey ring thing spinning and after awhile a little red x appears in the middle of the apple logo. What's going on here? Would my 8800gts do this? Edit: I just ran diagnostics and it's doing the Still waiting for root device thing, Which is odd considering it installed fine no? bibendum
You need to boot with -v so we can see what the error messages are... Patrick

Patrick I did that and like I said, there are no error messages, only Still waiting for root device, which is odd considering the install went flawless. xx66stangxx
I too have a amd x64, I used tubgirl 10.4.10, worked like a dream, didn't have to do any patching myself, only thing I had to do was buy a new network card, only $30...def. worth it. And no it shouldn't be your video card, I too my self have an 8800gts Nvidia card on this computer.

That is the error. Do a search on WAITING ROOT DEVICE and you'll find a number of options to try... Patrick
