grendude2
All right, Here's where I'm at with my Fujitsu a6025. I've managed to get everything working: video, usb, audio, firewire, hardrives ect... and I'm happy with all that. BUT, what I need is my AR5006EXS (with a AR5424 chip). I have NOT been able to even see its presence in any of my boot configs for 10.4.5-10.4.10 but for me 10.4.9 is where I can get my sound working, so that's where I am now. I've installed a whole heap of IO80211family.kext files that should have worked. I've edited the comand codes. (vendor id: 168c Device id: 0262 and 8086 27d4 ) I've cleared the cache, repaired the permissions, restarted and re-installed dozens of times. NOTHING has worked, I haven't even seen a glimer of hope. So, if anyone has gone through this sort of thing or has any constructive advice please try to help me. (One thing, if you want me to do something tell me why, don't just say do this, there is always a reason and I'd like to learn.) macosse
Hi, I'm sorry I can't help but I've a question for you. I've a lifebook c1040 with the realtek alc262 audiocard but coudn't be able to get the audio working. I've now an output device in system preferences but still no audio. I've tried with 10.4.8 and 10.4.10. How do you get your one working ? What is actually working ? Speakers or headphones ? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66697-ar5006exs-wireless-in-1049/#findComment-473294 Share on other sites
grendude2
I was in your shoes the first 4 or 5 times I installed. I kept trying different configurations with the install. Finally one worked. But I knew it had worked instantly because I could hear music when osx first booted (welcome screen). So, my adivce is to install the bare minimum. Just the kernal, SATA, pci IHC7, and AZELA audio.. Then work up to more stuff. Hopefully that helps, but like I said it works in 10.4.9 but I can't get it to work in other versions. grendude2
I've just installed uphuck_10.4.9_v1.4i_r2 and my wireless still doesn't work. (I have no access to r3) - is there any wireless benefit? Still hoping for some help. macosse
I've tried many times as you suggested with 10.4.9. Still the same result: only a generic output device is shown in system preferences but nothing works. Then I've tried with taruga's method -no need of azalia audio and a pathced AppleHDA and ALCInject kext- Now headphones are working and system preferences show both headphones and internal speakers but those are not working. Instead, as I understand , with the azalia method only speakrs are working and this is what I would prefer. I will keep tryng; for now I have a xxx 10.4.10 and taruga's alc262 applehda kext. Thanks for your suggestions gendrude! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66697-ar5006exs-wireless-in-1049/#findComment-480859 Share on other sites
