ok so I got the pata harddrive to work and I formatted it in the Mac Utility device and the installation recognized the harddrive and it started installing and it got to the very end and a message popped up and said installation error do you want to restart the process so I tried it again and I fell asleep (it was at 1 am haha) and woke up in the morning and it still hadn't installed. Any reasons why this isn't installing? as mentioned before my chipset is NVIDIA SPP190 (C51XE) SSE3 and I am running tub_Osx10410_AMDVM_SSE3 disk and I am using an AMD 6000+x2 processor. My boss said he is going to give me his dell and I am pretty sure he has a pata harddrive in it sso I am going to see if I can use his harddrive to install it instead. Since my computer is Vistax64 I can't partition the harddive with partitionmagic programs to I am using the xp disc to partition the harddrive as fat32, could that be the problem? or should I just go out and by a external harddrive?
