djet Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 Okay say you're like me and you have that old iMac G3 that you KNOW you will never use again. Well I thought wouldn't it be great if I could somehow use it's display for my Macbook, but I thought NAH no one would really have that either mac-compatible or cheap. WRONG! I found this on the Apple downloads ( I think) and the I thought, well it looks nice but it must be impossible to set up for a computer user like me. Wrong again! I booted up the old iMac, connected to internet, installed the software on both machines and BAM they connected to each other and all of a sudden when I dragged windows to the right on my macbook they appeared on the screen of the iMac. It was a little slow when dragging, but it's really nice if I want to use one screen as my dashboard screen (using the whole command-thing to be able to drag widgets) and the other as my workspace.
