TimeMachine
My computer doesnt have USB boot support and I need an alternative. So can I and how do I setup vmware to emulate the external hard drive?
~pcwiz
Yep, its really easy to do. First install OS X natively on the USB drive using my guide: http://######.com/software/osxusbnative.htm Then after install don't try to reboot into OS X and boot into Windows. Open VMware and create a new virtual machine. Choose Custom instead of Typical and follow the Wizard and when you get to the hard disk part, set the VM to boot from a physical hard disk and choose your USB drive. Once the VM is created, boot it and OS X should load.
