lawlzor
i am running the xxx release of 10.4.10 on my sse2 Dell XPS m170 laptop with an nvidia geforce go 6800 ultra. it runs fine (in fact its the only 10.4.10 release i have gotten to work at all) but when i try to install titan it hangs at loginwindow.app. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65352-titan-issues/ Share on other sites
hecker
This may sound completely ridiculous but I had this problem whenever I would set my BIOS to "autodetect" the HDD and DVD drives. Setting everything to manual got rid of it. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65352-titan-issues/#findComment-462791 Share on other sites

lawlzor
Hmmm ill check the BIOS, but if i remember correctly, since im on a dell laptop they dont really give me much control over any of the hardware components. as for the geforce kexts i dont know how to check the ids and even if i did i wouldnt know what the ids are for my card. :/ if you can point me to a guide or something i'll give that a little looky. unfortunately my skills with mac os are limited. and you have to stop by my house if you want the bananas :] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65352-titan-issues/#findComment-463177 Share on other sites
lawlzor
i looked around and i found where to look in my geforce kexts, but when i put in my hardware id, now it boots and i get to a blue screen, my mouse pointer flashes once and disappears and i cant seem to do anything. when i look at the system profiler, it tells me that my device id is 0x00c9 and that its revision 0x00a2. ive been plugging in the c9 not the a2. should i perhaps plug in the a2? Edit: I have gotten the old school macvidia driver to give me the resolution, but i neet the titan for the quality :/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65352-titan-issues/#findComment-463407 Share on other sites
