Hi,

Which Wireless PCI network card do you recommend for my Hackintosh? I already have a D-Link DWL-G520+, but as it is based on the Texas Instruments chipset, it seems that it is doomed not to work (and probably never will).

So I'm wondering which card I should buy? I've searched the net, and came across sites which sell PowerMac G3/G4/G5 PCI wireless cards which seems to be compatible just like an original Airport Extreme card. Now as my Hackintosh is Intel (x86) based and those macs are PPC based, I'm also wondering if those cards would work on OS x86?

Any help or recommendations would be appreciated :)

Well there are so many, but basically you wanna look for cards which have the Broadcom 440x chipset (which works very easily). They are quite common. Any of the cards on the wiki that say "Broadcom". (http://wiki.osx86project.org ->HCL 10.4.8)

Ralink Cards also work 100%, with the correct drivers, and atheros Ar5005. However, it would seem the Atheros chipset ones are hard to find (correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm using the ASUS WL-138G v2

I have a Broadcom on my 1150M chipped board and right after install in the Welcome or initial setup it connected to my wireless, yet i had to play with a kext to get it to connect with encryption.
