Working install from Intel Quad Core Q6700, BadAxe2 mobo, 4gb Corsair Ram, 150gb 10,000 RPM SATA HD.

I have read that there really isnt any support currently for the ATI 2900xt, but I purchased it anyways due to the amount of gaming I do on the windows side of things.

Is there anything out currently that I can install for a driver to get my native resolution on here? Maybe not a full driver that will be all that impressive, but just to get me by until there is somthing official out? Running 1024-768 on a Apple 23' cinema, isnt all that attractive. :]

Thanks in advance guys, everything else seems to be working flawlessly so far...

one more thing: What exactly happens if i do the 10.4.10 update through the software updater?... does it error out and mess up my installation? or does it actually work?

I'd like to know more about the 10.4.10 update too (it always crashes after reboot) but on the graphics side, I've got almost the same computer you have and all I got so far is 1600x1200 (just by messing around with the main configuration file) and nothing more. No acceleration at all. In fact I typed 1920x1200 in the resolution but after rebooting it changed to 1600x1200.

I bought my computer a few months ago and I didn't know this card wasn't supported. It was all my fault. I wanted a really fast machine but I also wanted to install both windows and OSX and I didn't even take a look to see if I was going to have any hardware problems. And we're talking about a pretty expensive graphic card here.

So now I'm going to buy a Nvidia 7900GT or an Ati x1950xt so I can use OSX for work while I wait for full HD2900XT support.
