midlandskatecom
I get THIS every time I try to open up the ISO in VMware and if I don't open it with the ISO then it won't recognize the disk. Help? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64678-help-with-tubgirl-10410-sse3-test1/ Share on other sites
~pcwiz
How are you using the ISO? Did you mount it in Daemon Tools or some other program. Because if you just mounted the ISO in VMware as a CD-ROM device, that won't work. Also, boot up OS X in Verbose mode and see if you get any errors. midlandskatecom
I did do it in VMware, I'll try again without using VMware to mount. ~pcwiz
Yep, thats your problem. Either mount the ISO in Daemon Tools or burn the ISO to DVD and install from the DVD. midlandskatecom
Does it typically take a long time to get through this part in VMware? Because I'm just letting it sit and the last line was like ACPI: System State[s0 S4 S5] (S0) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64678-help-with-tubgirl-10410-sse3-test1/#findComment-459456 Share on other sites
Toaster37
On my non-vmware install it took about 7 minutes to get past the spinning apple screen Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64678-help-with-tubgirl-10410-sse3-test1/#findComment-459474 Share on other sites
midlandskatecom
My problem was I had my Hard Disk set to one of my partitions on my computer. I was wondering, after I install the OS (which it's doing) is there any way I can move the system files over to my SATA drive (i have the dreaded nforce4 chipset that wont let you use SATA) and boot OS X natively that way? ~pcwiz
Hmm...maybe you could. I don't know a method right now but if you could somehow write the contents of the virtual hard disk (VMDK) file to a volume.... Another thing about installing to SATA with an nForce4 chipset. I have come up with a possible (un tested) solution: On your SATA HD, make a new partition for OS X, install OS X to the partition THROUGH VMware and then boot it natively. Anyone willing to try it? midlandskatecom
I'll go ahead and test that with my JaS image since Tubgirl hasn't been able to boot for me after the install process. Will not work because it's still a partition on a SATA disk I just remembered.
