jh1523 Posted September 26, 2007 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Are you sure it's a nforce4? I have installed the tubgirl release on a sata drive/nforce4 with no problem. You may have a nforce 410/430 chipset though, which isn't supported and is NOT nforce4. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cbmkgd Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 The current 'tubgirl' 10.4.10 Test1 doesn't have a driver that supports proper writing to sata drives for nforce410/430; the medevil driver/kext was specifically designed to solve the problem for nforce4. For nforce410/430, go read about recent developments in this thread: Darwin nForce4 ATA/SATA controller. Begin near the last 2 weeks or so; some people are working on solving the problem for nf410/430. Until then, you could install osx on a pata drive if you have a desktop.
