Rufus T. Firefly
This probably could be in Drivers section so mods and admin please move if you feel like it Ok so I have a new Acer 22ws monitor and I can only get VGA working not DVI My hardware specs in sig Is it a driver? A little help would be great. Links to other threads would suffice EDIT: I might wanna mention that I can get DVI working only in Safe Mode and when it boots into OS X regular it sometimes lets me see a blue background and that's about it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64328-working-dvi/ Share on other sites
nobullone
I had the same problem. It seems that DVI just doesn't work with the OSX86 build. Once I unplugged the cable the monitor was recognized and I got the ability to adjust my resolution. Good luck! I'll check around. If you find a fix PM me. guilliamo
EDIT: I might wanna mention that I can get DVI working only in Safe Mode and when it boots into OS X regular it sometimes lets me see a blue background and that's about it That pretty much confirms that it is a driver issue. One of the options at <http://diabolik1605.com/DHF/> may help. What I did when I was sorting out the same issue with my ATI card (ATI/ATI X1600 Pro PCIE 512M) was to connect BOTH analog & DVI cables so that I could access the computer by switching the monitor's input to whichever cable had video.
