bonestonne
even my install will stall for a while during boot, just wait...unless it doesn't recognize the Southbridge controller and HDDs, it just needs time to find it. patience is the key. ~pcwiz
bonestonne is correct, lots of people make this mistake when they get the "Still waiting for root device" message. Its not an error, it just means that OS X hasn't detected controllers and HDs yet. Give it a good 2 to 10 minutes to finish (even more if you have a slow processor). If it never goes away, or the message repeats a few times, then you have a problem. Most of the time, this can be solved by installing drivers for your SATA/PATA controllers. Hope this helps pcwiz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64147-blue-screen-after-installation/#findComment-454712 Share on other sites
