x3nse
Hi folks, I am curious how all the versions of OSX86 are made. Can someone point me to some sites on how to create/remaster an OSX dvd? I have a retail copy of OSX so what do I need to do to get it working on an X86 machine like the ones from tubgirl/Jas/etc... Any help appreciated! ~pcwiz
I know for a fact the the hacked Kalyway OS X 10.4.10 DVD uses all the original files from the DVD except for a modified kernel and a modified version of AppleSMBIOS from netkas. There might be one more modified file but bottom line: Its pretty hard to master a DVD. Basic steps (and this makes it sound way too easy): Copy files from original DVD Modify mach_kernel in all the packages with a modified version Replace AppleSMBIOS and a few other critical files with modified x86 versions Also, you need XCode Tools for Mac to modify packages and create OS X DVDs, etc. There are no guides for remastering DVDs and besides, why would you want to?
