loarrin
Hi! Installed that: Mac_OS_X_10.4.8_-_JaS_AMD_Intel_SSE2_SSE3_incl._PPF1_ on my Dell 1300. Everything is good but the system boots one time and 10 another times it stacks in blue screen. Emm. Any ideas? :0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63926-it-boots-sometimes-0/ Share on other sites

Any ideas? :0 happened to me on my first install on a compaq v2000, went around it by doing the 2 wire solution, inserting a bypass wire through pin 1 and 6 pin 2 and 12 on the VGA connector, worked! That's dangerous, you "should" use a 75ohm resistor. And I think all you need to do is pin 2 to 7.. That ties only the green to ground via a pulldown resistor, and should be enough to tell the graphics chip that the VGA port has a monitor present... Then again, I haven't messed with VGA since 1996, but I'm pretty sure that's what's required. Hakemon
6 (red ground) to 12 (monitor select), just tells the VGA card a color monitor is attached. That could work too.. That needs no resistor.. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63926-it-boots-sometimes-0/#findComment-452599 Share on other sites
