ghostdog 5.0
I am getting a kernel panic when I try to boot from the HD but it works fine when I boot from the dvd and use rd=disk0s1 -f -v. Any idea what I can do to fix this? I am using this hardware: ECS P4M800PRO-M motherboard Core2Duo E2160 SATA harddrive and dvd-rw All Onboard equipment (video, lan, sound) Link to motherboard specs http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/...=44&LanID=0 Here is a picture of the message I get. When I boot with the rd command the network card isn't working but I thought I would tackle that later. I am using Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 dvd release. If I am using the universal kernel, the latest one on the list Side note, if I use cpus=1 at harddrive boot command prompt it gives me panic error too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ~pcwiz
That problem is easy to solve. When installing Uphuck, choose the Remove IntelCPUPowerManagement kext option under Patches in the Installation options screen. Hope this helps pcwiz
ghostdog 5.0
You're a flippin genius! It works perfect now. Any idea which network card option I should select?
~pcwiz
In the Uphuck installer, under Drivers >> Network, see if there are any drivers for VIA chipsets (Check the descriptions of the drivers too). Tell me what drivers there are.
