skyhighmac
Does anyone have a good and lightweight, (ie. can run on a mac book) CAD program? I am looking for something that can help me design an external hd/computer case. Thank you! deanr
Solidworks works great in vmware on my macbook, faster than it runs on the Dell's at school Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63763-cad-program/#findComment-451560 Share on other sites
rathalos
i recommend google sketchup pro 6..... its very light and its fast and easy to use.. no complex commands and activation {censored} like maya and 3ds... if u're looking for a renderer to go with sketchup 6, i recommend artlantis studio.. easy to use and great looking renderer... both can be found at the green demon with their respective 'k.... (sketchup latest version is 6.0.5XX and artlantis is 1.2.2, so get the right versions) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63763-cad-program/#findComment-451583 Share on other sites

spyrogyro
Have you tried ArchiCAD by Graphicsoft. DWG support and pretty snappy. I use it on a MAC mini with no issues.
