notdrphang Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Basically, the title says it all. I am trying to install on to my SATA drive which the OS X intaller can see. But, when I try to prep the drive it just sits there for hours and will eventually time out having not actually made any changes to the drive at all. Is this some sort of permissions issue? I do not get any errors just inactivity. Is there some other util/disc I can boot from and prep/format the partition before running the tubgirl installer. Is there some way to install to my IDE drive and them move it over to the SATA drive? I basically just want to get it installed on my SATA drive and I need some utility other than the installers disk util that will allow me to prep the drive. ~pcwiz Posted September 21, 2007 Share Posted September 21, 2007 Try booting from a live Partition disk (such as GParted Live CD) and creating a FAT32 partiton on the SATA drive.
