Hi,

I really want to custom build a PC with OS X mainly for running Final Cut Pro. Is there anyone who has it running without ANY problems? if so could you post your hardware configuarations? That way I know what to buy, thanks!

Francesco

Works perfect on this system and my last syste:

Current System:

Mother Board: Asus p5k-e

Processor : Inted Quad Core Q6600

Ram : 2x1gb OCZ DDR2-800

Hard drives: 1 Seagate 500mb 7200rpm SATA2, 1 WD 250 Cavier IDE, 1 Seagate 500mb 7200rpm IDE

CD/DVD: Sony DRU-720A

Monitor: Acer AL2216w

Video Card: Geforce 6600 GT (256mb Ram)

OS X: Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 (then Pascalw 10.4.10 update)

Last System:

Mother Board: Asus A8N-SLI

Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+

Ram : 4x512mb

Hard drives: 1 WD 250 Cavier IDE, 1 Seagate 500mb 7200rpm IDE

CD/DVD: Sony DRU-720A

Monitor: Acer AL2216w

Video Card: Geforce 6600 GT (256mb Ram)

OS X: Uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 (Pascalw 10.4.10 update DID NOT work for me on this system)

Skyhigh . I only purchased: Motherboard, Processor, SATA2 HDD, and 2gb ram. I re-used everything else (Case, Powersupply, video card, DVD). cost was aprox $750 Canadian (I purchased from www.ncix.com). I shoot a lot of HD with a Canon XH A1 and the system works amazing well for editing HD (I can not get over how much faster it is compared to the Athlon X2 4200+) .
