ColdFLame
I tried installed the Uphuck 10.4.9 Intel on my laptop and it will freeze on boot. Before then, I used 10.4.6 with SSE2. It booted up into the desktop fine. (It froze when I used SSE3 with 10.4.6) I'm rather confuse because the SSE3 won't work on my computer even though my CPU supports SSE3 here's my spec. JonyBravo
Hello. I have installed Uphuck 10.4.9 on the weekend. I have an Aspire 5610. Although it supports SSE3, I selected SSE2, Intel only. I did not install any other patches. I wanted to have the smallest chance for errors. It boots up fine (with the -x parameter). I have yet to learn how to add in extra drivers, one at a time, to see how much further I can get. ~pcwiz
Sometimes there are just things you can't explain in OSx86 . ColdFLame, your issue seems to be one of them. ColdFLame
actually I found out the reason that it won't boot. I need to check the "Remove CPUPowermanagement". Now it working fine I notice that in verbose mode it froze at Started CPU 01 and just stay there, then I look around the forum and learn that CPUPowermanagement has some trouble with some computers. ~pcwiz
Normally if it is an issue with Power Management, an error is displayed with reference to com.apple.IntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. Anyway, glad you solved your problem pcwiz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63484-uphuck-1049-on-aspire-5672-freeze-on-boot/#findComment-452134 Share on other sites
