When I first started trying to get Mac OSX running on my pc, it worked instantly.

I dont recall the exact version but it worked perfectly.

Since then, I have tried installing the OS again to find that nothing works unless I upgrade to a higher version (I think it was 10.4.1 that I was on but I cant be sure) Instead of worrying about upgrade issues, I decided that I'd just get a newer ISO.

I havent had ANY success since that point.

Versions tested:

  • JaS 10.4.8

  • Uphuck 10.4.9

and at least 4 others that I downloaded, tried, failed and disregarded.

Each ISO I've burnt from Nero AND alcohol 120% to no avail and on two different computers.

Burnt on Sony DVD+R.

My computer's specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 6400

ATI x1950M

SI 945p neo3-f Motherboard

1GB Ram

Maxtor 300 GB HDD (tried Western Digital too)

What should I do now?!

Should I look for that original installation disc, install and upgrade. If so, how?

Or am I doing something wrong here?

Yea im using a IBM T42, and the Mac OS X 10.4.1 Works for me but all the new drivers and apps need 10.4.8 or higher. I have Mac OSX JAS 10.4.8, and Upchuck 10.4.9i r3 or somehting, All megafail. The Jas gives me "B0 Error" and upchuck just restarts and sits there at a blinking "_" no startup just a blinking dash.
