GingerPrince
Hi, I've just updated to use kernel 8.10.3 and it seems to work ok. The only thing that's bothering me is that a lot of my kexts are saying that 'no valid version of this dependency can be found'. which they weren't before. I'm assuming that this is something to do with the kernel number changing but I can't find an explanation anywhere nor can I find out if it's important. I've attached 2 screens, one showing the new kernel, happy as larry, and another showing an example kext that has dependency problems. Can anybody shed any light on this? cheers, Matt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63300-kext-dependencies/ Share on other sites

josh256
I couldn't boot 8.10.3 Out of curiosity, what is the size of your 8.10.3 kernel? Mine was exactly the same size as 8.10.1.... joshuas-computer:~ Joshua$ ls -al / | grep mach_kernel -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4171076 Sep 10 22:04 mach_kernel -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 8570180 Jun 20 22:55 mach_kernel.10.4.10.orig -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4171076 Aug 19 18:59 mach_kernel.8.10.1 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4171076 Sep 10 21:15 mach_kernel.8.10.3 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4162720 May 22 23:30 mach_kernel.8.8.1 -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4176500 Jun 20 22:38 mach_kernel.8.9.1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63300-kext-dependencies/#findComment-449906 Share on other sites
