Zappza
Hi! I am trying to install OSx86 on my laptop, a HP Compaq 6715b. I have downloaded and burned out the upchuck 10.4.9 DVD, and I boot just fine. When I am prompted to select where I want to install OSx86 nothing appears. I enter Disk Utility to check if my harddrive is there, nothing appears except for my DVD. What could be wrong? The harddrive is a Fujitsu MHW2080BH and is connected via IDE. Thanks for all help! edit: This is a business model, which has TPM and supports BitLocker in Windows Vista Ultimate/Business/Enterprise. Could this have something to do with it? Bitlocker isn't enabled though. edit2: Managed to install OSx86 on my USB harddrive, can I just use Norton Ghost to create a diskimage from the USB disk and transfer that to my laptop harddrive? hecker
Try using SuperDuper instead. Be careful not to erase your current Windows partition, though. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62904-where-is-my-harddrive/#findComment-445439 Share on other sites
Zappza
Okey. I am currently downloading the JaS release, think this will do the job? edit: Ah, forget it ^^ Thought it was yet another version of OSx86. Will download SuperDuper and give it a shot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62904-where-is-my-harddrive/#findComment-445484 Share on other sites

hecker
SuperDuper is a native OSX app, so it won't run under windows. I meant to say that you should boot from your USB HDD, start SuperDuper and then clone the OSX partition (yes, the one you booted from) onto your other HDD. Cheers, hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62904-where-is-my-harddrive/#findComment-446808 Share on other sites
