The SG-72 offers an ideal µATX Intel® Pentium® 4 platform for the value-conscious user. Based on the SIS 661FX chipset, the SG-72 delivers functionality found on premium Pentium® 4 motherboards, including Dual DDR 400 support, 6-channel audio, Intel® Hyper-Threading™ support, and an integrated SiS® Real256E GPU for advanced 256-bit 2D/3D performance.
Do a search on SIS661 and "root device". There is not much support for the SIS chipset. The root device error usually denotes a mounting of HD problem either due to unsupported chipset or improperly setup of master/slave on the IDE. Make sure HD is on IDE0 master and not on a special controller (eg RAID).

hey, thanks for the tips

But i finally got it working

i dunno why, but on this version, assuming its 10.4.1 it doesnt like my IDE controller, so all i did was put dvd and hdd on the same controller.... dvdrom as MASTER hdd as SLAVE on the primary channel, works perfectly.. booted straight away....

thanks :D
