a4bitrary
the instillation goes fine on my computer. once it restarts though the bios crashes. i once made a gpt on an intel and stuck it in the computer and it did the same thing. i put the disk in the intel machine and it says its gpt too. is there a way to get around this problem like using another file system? also my computer strugles to use the disk partitioner built into the install. and some times locks up for minutes at a time. specs: amd +3500 1.5 gigs ram sata drives evga nforce 4 chipset phenix bios i think 7800gtx hope that helps thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62511-bios-crashes-on-boot/ Share on other sites
hecker
I have never heard of a BIOS "crashing". The BIOS may fail to load the OS after rebooting OSX on some machines. This behavior/bug is a known problem with OSX86 and cannot be fixed by changing your file system (it actually has nothing to do with that). If you have problems partitioning your drives then you may have to fix/tweak your SATA system files. cheers, hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62511-bios-crashes-on-boot/#findComment-442773 Share on other sites
