DVD Burner Custom-built monster (2nd): AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+ 1GB Dual-Channel PC3200 DDR ABIT Fatal1ty SLI (nForce 4 Ultra SLI chipset) GeForce 6800 GT SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Dual 120GB SATA RAID 0 1 40GB SATA (non RAID) DVD Burner Will either of these systems be worth installing OSx86 on? In addition no QE & CI (video acceleration) for nVidia. Both CPUs should have SSE2 and should install and run properly with IDE drives. knbrac Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Hey, i have that same laptop and am wondering if it worked out for you? I haven't been able to find a install disk that would be able to boot after the install. (I could install but on the initial restart.. i never got to a screen i could work with. Anyone have any experience with these specs? I'd love to get my laptop up and running w/ OSX. Any advice would be appreciated. I've done a lot of research on the forums but havn't come across anything to help me out.
