hi frnds

my frnd has two pc's.one having asus a8ne mobo ,ie nforce 4 chipset and another one having msi am2 has a nforce chipset(will ask the exact model 2morrow)..but my question basically is that whether is there any source be it jas, uphuck,or tubgirl which can directly recognize sata drives and install straight onto them without vmare.jas 10.4.8 doesnt do that since i have tested mine on those pc's.

he's currently downloading the tubgirl 10.4.10 amd only so any help would be grateful.

I too have installed TubGirl 10.4.10, but on an IDE(ATA) hdd. During native install i didn't see my SATA hdd's but after installing OS and when i boot into OSX I could detect all the SATA Drives without any issue or driver updates. nForce Sata is supported i guess (after install)

So, i guess as far as i can imagine you can install it using VMware and then be able to boot into it natively without any problem or any changes required. You do confirm this with the experts here.

As long as it is nforce 4 and not 410/430, you can install straight to sata. I did it with the tubgirl 10.4.10 and a Gigabyte m55sli-s4 motherboard on some sata samsung spinpoints. Just use diskutil to format the drive while booted via dvd, use the mbr option, and the drive should appear.
