Adrian
Hi I've just patched the 8F1111 iso with the new JaS patch v4.1 (maxxus new kernel and all...), and I've done a clean install, no problems. But when I reboot, after the apple boot screen, the screen turns blue and nothing happens. The weird thing is that with the last version of macos (10.4.1) patched with bender PPF runs perfectly, clean install with only problems recognizing AC97 audio and graphic chipset (ethernet runs at first!!!!). My pc is more or less standart. Is an Acer Laptop TravelMate 4100 (Exactly 4101WLMi): Pentium M 725, Intel 915GM ... ( Well, Acer Specs ). ANd.. I'm afraid that i cant see kernel errors 'cause boot is directly. Thanks for helping :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6227-strange-result-with-8f1111-and-jas-patch-v41/ Share on other sites

edlvox
I think your problem is your graphic card.. try to attach an external monitor an it should work... if you want to work just with your laptop.. you have to remove your id from the .kext that loads your graphic card and just load it in VESA mode.. Adrian
thanks edlvox, it was that!! What kext I need to modify? I don't have much experience tweaking macosx (is there any link or something?) I have seen in mac specs that my card is recognized and compatible with Quartz Extreme, if I do that the compatibility will be lost? Well, thanks again. suleiman
if you remove the device ID the "compatibility"--if you can call it that--will indeed be lost. Welcome to the club Adrian. We're a horde of people who have the right graphics card on our laptops, but just can't seem to get it running out of VESA mode.
