Mr.Gosh
Hey Guys, because I didn`t find anyone who tried it until now, I write here my experience trying to get OSX86 working on above mentioned Notebook. Here The Link to the Official Lenovo Site to the R61 8919-6VG with the complete Hardware Specification. After I Setup an extra partition on my external USB2 & Firewire HDD I installed using the 10.4.9 uphuck installer 1.4i The system was not bootable if I selected Titan or Natit to be setup also. But without any patch it worked. Now the System is bootable off my USB Harddrive, but without the full resolution, ethernet or wlan, or bluetooth or opengl support. So here the Hardware wich is making trouble: 128MB nVidia Quadro NVS 140M Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Fingerprint reader Intel 1000 Mbit Ethernet Powermanagement ACPI So did anyone try to get these working, because at the moment the system is a little bit too naked Thanks anyway... Danh Pell
I success to boot JaS 10.4.8 PPF1 only by booting with the DVD and put the options : rd=disk2s1 (disk2s1 is my Tiger partition) It only boot with that. If I boot from the disk, it write a grey message in 6 languages which ask me to reboot. AppleMix
Hello dell700m, I have a R61 8932-CTO and I'm planing to try OSX 10.5 on that as a dual boot. I know this post is way too old to expect a reply, however I would take a chance and ask few questions from you. 1) Did you manage to get the Wireless and Ethernet 2) Do you have any suggestions for the installation process Thanks in advance for any reply. Cheers I have a R61, 8932-CTO. Different Specs. Almost everything works, except Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5787M Gigabit Ethernet and Card Reader.
