POPJEEHAA
I am in a little predicament. I use my ipod not only as a music player, but as a storage device. I have about 10 gigabytes of files on my iPod Photo. I accidently dropped it today and i think there is some internal damage because i get the ipod with the triangle and exclaimation point with the sadface. When i connect the iPod to the computer i get this face, along with when i attempt to charge it. THe back light will not go on as well when i try to do either of these actions. So far i have tried connecting to different power sources and computers and had a spare wire that i tried as well. I have held the center and menu button to try and restart it but that failed as well. What i am asking is "Is there any last ditch effort to get my files off of my iPod?" If any additional info is needed tell me. Thank you for any help
Eric.C
if you've got physical damage on your drive (which is what is sounds like), your best bet is to take it to a drive recovery place, where they'll take out the actual drive platter and put it in another not damaged case to read, this is extremely expensive, can can cost tens of thousands of dollars, depending on how much data you have on them. If you were using your iPod when you dropped it, there is a possibility that the drive head was unable to finish a important write, damaging some important piece of the file system. Then you can take apart you iPod, take out the drive, and get one of those converters for the drive plug. Plug the drive into your computer, and then run SpinRite on it. This is much cheaper, its around $80 for the program...
apowerr
If you can't view the iPod itself in Windows Explorer or Finder, do what Eric C. said.

Erkin
You can try this: http://recovery-review.com/backup-tools/ta...o-copy-3-2.html or this: http://recovery-review.com/flash-disk-reco...ol-2-0-1-5.html Or if these won't help - try to search http://recovery-review.com using "ipod" in search string - as I remember, there were many of ipod restoration tools described on that site. And if any of this won't help - then do what Eric.C said...
