antic
I have a bit of a problem. When ever I run VMware Fusion I get intermittent system crashes. This can be either while running Fusion or as soon as I've quite it, with the "can you please restart your computer" in a number of different languages. The thing is it never happens if I disable the network/wireless connection while I'm running it. Checking the system error logs I get the following and it's always the same. This is the only problem I ever experience. I have little Snitch installed and there doesn't seem to be any network activity while these errors occure Any advice would welcome pending, will restart on demand. Exiting. mdg
Ditto...anyone else with similar issues? To me this happens when I use my wireless card...if I just use the virtual OS, no problem, but when I browse the web of download files, I get a kernel panic. Sometimes it takes hourss....sometimes, it takes seconds -- no seeming consistency... KroeT
Terrible kick, but I have the exact same problem, and I can't find a fix for it on the forum. I guess I'm not alone in this. Leopard Kalyway version: Vanilla kernel Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Core2Duo E6750 (2,66 GHZ -stock) 4GB RAM Radeon HD2600XT Giving VMWare more or less RAM, or switching off 3D-support does not matter. indomac
I have a similar problem, my system crash after installing windows XP on VMWare and Virtual Box. I have not tested using Parallels yet, but I'll do it later. I got a black screen when booting up my hackintosh. I'm still searching for the solution... squidcow
Try changing the advanced settings-->Other in the setup for the virtual machine you are running. I turned off hard disk buffering and changed the emulation to intel-vt. Now no kernel panics Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62014-intermittent-hackintosh-crashes-when-running-vmware-fusion/#findComment-1701439 Share on other sites
