Hi,

Just your standard vostro 1400

I obtained uphuck 10.4.9

Should any of these versions work?

Or must it be v 1.4r3 or just regular 1.4i?

I would like some further detailed help if anyone is willing to give it:

I boot into the darwin bootloader, but then it gives me a screen that says i must restar my computer/hold down power button. I have done the disable flash cache and SATA thing. Interestingly, if I keep my bios settings to normal and install, then I can get to the install screen BUT my entire hard disk is not visible to the OS at all.

I'd like vostro 1400 specific help.

Thank you

i have a dell vostro 1500 and my installation went smothly. only problem i have, and most likely you will too, are the audio and graphics driver. our sigmatel 9205 audio doesn't work and i don' think there are any compatible driver for it. the graphics driver work but there are screen tearing issue and apple can't detect it properly. we need to wait for a nvidia geforce 8 compatible driver. i hope someone is working vigoursly on it! *PRAYS*

about your restart problem, i had that issue too. take our your osx86 dvd and clean it. make sure your laptop is upright and try again. it should work. if not, you might have to reburn the osx86 dvd at a slower speed.

keep ahci and flash cache OFF to install osx86. you can turn it back on when you have completed the installation and dual boot set up.

i suggest getting the latest uphuck intel version. good luck!

Jas .4.8 does not work on santarosa, it gave me the restart error after installed.

The upchuck did work though, graphics were a little messed up, and .10 update killed the install, but most of the stuff worked.

Wireless / bluetooth / etc worked. no sound still.
