Here's the story.

Trying to install 10.4.8 on a Intel P4 2.66 ghz using an ECS PM800-M2 board. I have managed to get everything to work except!!! USB. It recognizes USB when I go to the system profiler INSTALLING the operating system, but once is all booted up and running, go to the system profiler and I get nothing, no usb device found. I have tried changing settings in BIOS to turn off USB 2, turn off USB legacy support, various different settings, nothing works. I managed to get sound, and net going and works awesome. Would be so nice to have USB so I can get my printer going, and my SB live external going instead of onboard (ugh) sound. PLease please help! My next step is going to be trying the updated USB drivers from the mac dev site...

Thanks!!!

Nope, not a new system. I had Vista on there, and I also had Opensuse with USB working on both. I am a newbie to linux based OS's, so getting an update without a point and click install is hard for me, I don't know how to replace kernels and all that stuff so I am pretty new to all this.Nope, not a new system.
