hello

I have to rebuild Archive.pax.gz files in the osX install iso image.. (well this file is inSystem/Installation/Package/Essential.pkg)

so , would you please show me the guide?

1 . how can I extract Archive.pax.gz ?

2 . and how can I rebuild newer Archive.pax.gz

I'd like to know the pax options.. 'ex) pax -r -w' when extract and archive

I'm extrmely poor in unixware-like command..

Thankyou.. :)

You first need to use 'gunzip Archive.pax.gz'

Then you can use 'pax -r -f Archive.pax' to extract everything in the .pax file.

use google and search 'man pax' 'man gzip' 'man gunzip'.

hopefully you will find the help you need for packing of files...
